Crawley Borough Council’s first Passivhaus development, designed by Accredited Passivhaus Design (part of The Tooley & Foster Partnership), has been completed and certified to the Passivhaus Standard. Gales Place in Three Bridges provides 13 new affordable homes – six flats and seven houses – for local residents. Each property is so thermally efficient that a radiator and two towel rails will heat it even in mid-winter. Accredited Passivhaus Design, part of The Tooley & Foster Partnership, has won an International Green Apple Award 2017 for Gales Place in Crawley, a development of 13 new affordable homes. Gales Place is Crawley Borough Council’s first development to be certified to the Passivhaus Standard and a second one is to follow. The presentation ceremony for the Awards will be held at The Houses of Parliament on 9 June 2017.
